our story

Vic’s was founded by Victor Castillo in 2009 and officially opened its doors January 2, 2010. Dave and Pam Rupers bought the coffee shop in June of 2011. Both Dave and Pam have been connected to the National Guard for many years. Dave’s father retired from the Wisconsin Air National Guard after 38 years. Pam was the family plan for husband and wife guard members here in Washington. Dave and Pam were married in 1980 and moved to Washington only a few months after Mt. St. Helens erupted. They have 3 children and 6 grandchildren.

Vic’s Espresso and Eats sponsors Vic's Honors Vets, a free barbecue lunch held each year on a Thursday near Veterans Day. Their goal is to use this event to gather organizations that assist our Guard members, either currently serving or Veterans, to elevate awareness of the assistance available.

The coffee shop is housed in Building 16 with the American Lake Credit Union.
